Police investigation after body found in Bank Park

A police investigation is ongoing after a body was sadly discovered in Bank Bank earlier today, Tuesday.

A large police presence was seen in Bank Park behind Warrington town hall, with an area taped off.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed: “At 7.56 am on Tuesday 16 April, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man in Bank Park, Sankey Street, Warrington.

“Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a 47-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing on behalf of the coroner.”
