Firefighters tackle large bin lorry fire

TWO fire crews were called out this morning to tackle a large bin lorry fire in Warrington.

At 08:36 crews from Warrington and Penketh were called to reports of a large vehicle fire on Bramhall Street, Warrington.

Waste contained in a bin lorry had caught fire. The decision was made to empty the waste on to an open yard to allow firefighters to extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet.
