Two people led to safety as firefighters tackle flat fire

TWO people were led to safety as firefighters tackled a flat fire in Warrington last night.

At 23:21 three fire engines from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Lymm attended reports of a fire at a residential property on Clearwater Quays, Warrington.

On arrival, crews discovered a fire in one of the flats in the building and led two occupiers to safety. The two individuals were then given precautionary checks by attending paramedics.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been caused accidentally.
