Rylands fight back to take victory at Broadhurst Park

A SECOND half goal from leading scorer Mo Touray was enough for Warrington Rylands to maintain their unbeaten away run and put them back into third place in the league.

With their previous encounter abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch the two sides met on a Tuesday evening. The ground at Broadhurst Park was still soft, but playable.
FC United were quick off the mark and forced Luke Pilling into some remarkable saves early on in the match. An end-to-end first half was looking like stalemate until Charles Oliver put the ball into the top corner on 44 minutes to give the home side a one-goal lead at the break.
Sam Wilson must have given his squad a good half-time ‘talking to’ because the second half was more hopeful. Twelve minutes after the restart Warrington drew a goal back as Scott Moloney was beaten by a powerful header to make it a goal apiece.

Joe Adams has been credited with the goal but from the goal line it appeared to be either the Captain James Neild or striker Florian Yonsian who did the deed.
FCUM tried to fight back into the lead until Mo Touray beat a couple of defenders to slot the ball into the net via the underside of the bar.
Tempers were fraught and yellow cards were shown but the travelling Rylands came home the victors.
It was good to see Ben Hardcastle return to the squad after a lengthy spell on the sidelines but Joe Adams has been added to the injury list. Hopefully he will have recovered for Saturday’s away match at Bradford Park Avenue with James Butler and Djavan Pedro who both return after serving their ‘Red Card’ penalties.
