WARRINGTON author Jackson Beck is celebrating the release of his fourth novel – “Abducted.”
The thriller is based in Cyprus – the second of his books to be set there – and Jackson reveals an intimate knowledge of the island gained from the fact that he owned a holiday home there for 10 years.
He liaised with the Cypriot police to gain more knowledge of his main theme – the worrying number of females who go missing in the Limassol, Larnaca and Nicosia areas.
Jackson, from Great Sankey, said: “They were very transparent and helpful in explaining some of the problems they are currently dealing with and I have touched on some of these issues in the book.”
The story involves brother and sister Gareth and Erica Fisher who lose their parents during the Covid pandemic and, to help with the grieving process, decide to make an emotional visit to Cyprus to pay homage to holidays with their parents.
Under the warm Cypriot sun, a string of emotions and home truths are revealed and laid bare before the siblings settle to a well earned break.
The sun is shining, the food is excellent and the sea is warm.
What could possibly go wrong?
