Firefighters remove roof of vehicle to free trapped casualty

FIREFIGHTERS removed the roof of a vehicle to rescue a trapped casualty following a two-vehicle collision on the A56 at Daresbury near Warrington.

The collision took place at 19:37 this evening (Tuesday) Hobbs Lane, Darebury.

Firefighters from Lymm and Warrington were called to the road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A56 at the junction with Hobbs Lane, Daresbury.

Crews removed the roof of one vehicle to release a trapped casualty from the driver’s seat, before handing them over to the care of attending paramedics.
Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service were also in attendance at the incident.
