TWO Warrington-based organisations have benefited from money raised at a recent community takeover event at Gulliver’s World.

In total, £2,900 was raised for the Warrington Hospital Dementia Fund and local junior football club, Cromwell Athletic, at the ‘Westbrook Big Party’ event, hosted by the Westbrook and Callands Communities Association in July this year.
Each charity received £1,450 to boost their funds.
The event, which has taken place annually at the park since 2016, saw more than 2,800 WA5 residents visit the theme park, with Gulliver’s offering reduced price tickets and donating sales to the causes.

Cllr Jean Flaherty, the former Mayor of Warrington, opened the event along with a performance by St Philips School Choir.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “We’re thrilled to have raised this amount for two local organisations in need.
“Community is at the heart of Gulliver’s and it was an honour to welcome the Westbrook Big Party back to our resort, benefiting important causes while creating magical memories.”
