MORE than 2,800 Warrington residents from the WA5 postcode enjoyed an evening of theme park fun recently, when Gulliver’s World opened its gates for an exclusive theme park take-over event.

The ‘Westbrook Big Party’ event, hosted by the Westbrook and Callands Communities Association, saw thousands of WA5 residents visit the park, with Gulliver’s offering reduced price tickets and donations from sales going to the Warrington Hospital Dementia Fund and local junior football club, Cromwell Athletic.
Cllr Jean Flaherty, Mayor of Warrington, opened the event along with a performance by St Philips School Choir.

Alan Guthrie, of the Westbrook and Callands Community Association, said: “It was great to bring together so many members of our community, of all ages, for a very special evening at Gulliver’s World.
“The generosity of Gulliver’s means that not only have local causes benefited from the event and from ticket sales, but residents from our area have been able to enjoy spending quality time together having fun at the theme park and making precious memories.”

Craig Clews, resort manager at Gulliver’s World, said: “It was a real pleasure to open our gates for the Westbrook Big Party, giving the community a really fun, carefree night out while also supporting important local causes.
“We’ve welcomed the association for this event since 2016, with many charities benefiting over the years and multiple generations enjoying an evening out with us at Gulliver’s. We look forward welcoming the community back again in the future, for even more fun!”
