Fire crew called out to washing machine fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to reports of a washing machine on fire at a property in Gorse Covert, Warrington.

One crew from Birchwood attneded at the premises on Langwell Close shortly before 8:30 am on Saturday morning.

On arrival, the crew found a washing machine that had caught fire but had already extinguished.
Firefighters removed the appliance from the property and carried out fire safety checks.
There were no reports of any injuries.
