ONE of the first duties of Warrington’s new Mayor Cllr Steve Wright was to visit the busy Stockton Heath Festival, which provided something for everyone over four days!
Various activities involving culture, theatre, music, crafts and art have been taking place across Stockton Heath and surrounding areas providing a variety of entertainment to suit all tastes.
As well as music and market stalls on the festival field there was the popular dog show sponsored by The Greyhound Trust, with Pets Pantry donating the prizes.
Strictly Stockton Heath Festival also proved popular in the marquee.
On the field there was entertainment from the The PopVox Choir, while the Elmore String Quartet performed at St Thomas’ Church.
The Soul Federation packed the dance floor at the Main Marquee when the rain failed to dampen the mood.
Meanwhile St Thomas’ Church hosted the Bridgewater Singers and Cheshire Chord Company. There were also three hugely popular Stockton Heath Festival Heritage Walks around the village.
