WARRINGTON Wolves have paid tribute to popular club photographer Bob Brough, who has died after a short illness.
The club issued a statement on Thursday evening saying: “Warrington Wolves is devastated to hear of the passing of Club photographer Bob Brough, who sadly passed away last night at the age of 78.
“Bob had been photographing the club for the last couple of decades following retirement from his business. He followed the Wire home and away, capturing shots of the first team, Reserves, Academy, Scholarship and Women’s teams. He also assisted the Warrington Wolves Foundation, photographing community events and projects around the town and was an ever present at club awards ceremonies and dinners.
“Bob captured some of the club’s most iconic moments over recent decades including our Challenge Cup final successes at Wembley Stadium as well as the bus parades through the town. He was an extremely popular figure amongst staff at the club and the rugby league media, who always had a smile on his face.
“He will be sorely missed on match days at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. Our thoughts are with Bob’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
