BRUCE Foxton’s long-awaited return to Warrington Parr Hall is set to take place next month (April) at the third time of asking as he salutes the iconic band’s “Beat Surrender” tour of 1982.
Twice cancelled, the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then because the original band member required surgery, Foxton is set to take to the stage at the Parr Hall on April 20, when he will also be joined by another iconic band from the 70s punk era – The Buzzcocks, which is sure to produce a high octane energy performance.
Tickets for the original dates are still valid.
Foxton will once again be joined by Russell Hastings as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Jam’s final 1982 farewell tour ‘Beat Surrender’. The final single by The Jam, Beat Surrender was released in November 1982 and went straight into the UK charts at #1.
Very special guests on the tour are Punk Rock legends Buzzcocks who formed in 1976. Buzzcocks released a slew of successful singles such as Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve), Harmony in my Head, What Do I Get?, Love You More, Everybody’s Happy Nowadays and more.
