MEMBERS OF Lymm Adivas dance troupe performed well in dance championships in North Wales competing against other troupes from across the North West.

In an exceptional performance, they won three first places and a second place and were also named as Troupe of the Year forTinies, Juniors and Seniors.
Many other awards were won for best leaders, mascots and individual dancer awards.

Lymm Adivas has been running since October 2013 and has a wide range of dancers in the troup.
The troupe is run by Kate Pritchard who is exceptionally proud of all of the dancers and their achievements.
New dancers are always welcome and the troupe train on a Wednesday in Lymm Methodist church hall. They compete in around 14 competitions a year across the Manchester area.
The troupe is run by volunteers: Kate, Liz and Lorraine who work exceptionally hard in order to create the wonderful “Adivas family”.

There are many other troupes in Warrington who will also be attending championships in the upcoming weeks. Adivas would like to wish them all the best of luck.

  1. for over 25 years I have belonged to Sale Circle dance. We are now an ageing an very depleted group but are reluctant to let our lovely group die. One of our former teachers was also a Morris dancer (Helen) from Sale which made me wonder if there is an affinity between the two groups Would you be interested in exploring the possibility of you and some of your members having a go at circle dancing We meet at the Unitarian Church hall in Altrincham on a Thursday pm but could be flexible on this.
