VIDEO: WORK is nearing completion on Warrington’s pioneering Cycle Hub designed to promote all things cycling in the town.

Working with Warrington Borough Council, the new cycle hub has been created by the team at Cheshire Cycles and brings together over 40 years of cycling experience.

With funding provided by Warrington Borough Council through the Town Deal Fund, it includes aa door control system – made from the ground up and in-house to work with a custom booking system, allowing access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with membership from just £1 a day!

When a client wants to book their bike in, they can book a slot in the storage room which allows them access the store outside usual working hours.
They are issued a key code which can be used on an external keypad to open the front door.
AS well as shower facilities, it also includes clothes and a changing room to display our incoming clothing range.
Commuting to work (or other forms of cycling) relies on good clothing which really works.
There is storage for around 30 bikes on this custom racking system.

The official opening by the Mayor of Warrington Cllr Wendy Johnson is set for Saturday, June 15th.
The facility has been brought together by experienced cyclist Mike Carlin who has been running Appleton Thorn based Cheshire cycles for more than a decade.

Meanwhile this Saturday, June 8th there is a FREE E Bike Demo Day outside the town hall.
There will be a range of Electric bikes to try and its Free to test ride in a custom-made E Bike Arena.
The Team will be set up outside the town hall next to the event village for the Women’s tour of Britain.
Head down from 11am to try the bikes – first come first served.
