Summer Fair to raise vital funds for Cheshire Dogs’ Home

WARRINGTON-based Cheshire Dogs’ Home is throwing the party of the summer to help raise vital funds for our four-legged friends.

With guaranteed fun, dog-friendly activities, and plenty of pooch cuddles guaranteed, all the while raising funds to support the animal charity that dedicates its time to helping canines in need

Cheshire Dogs’ Home, a dog rescue and rehoming charity centre based in Thelwall, is back with its eagerly anticipated Summer Fair on Sunday 4th September 2022 – after a two-year break due to recent restrictions.
The Summer event is family-friendly, need we mention dog friendly, and will be jam-packed full of activities for everyone to get involved.
This is the charity’s second biggest event of the year, alongside their Christmas fair later in 2022, with a large selection of stalls and external re-tail-ers to make it paw-fect day.

Events and activities will run throughout the day, with the opportunity to win prizes and awards for your furry friend. You can test your canine’s nimbleness in the agility area, take part in the hay bale races, or why not enter your dog (and yourself in some cases) into the Fun Dog Show. Categories will include Waggiest Tail, Owner That Looks Most Like Their Dog, Best Paw Shaker, Golden Oldies and Best Rescue.
All money raised on the day will go towards funding the important and crucial work the team at Cheshire Dogs’ Home undertake day in and day out to ensure a happy life for all those dogs in their care until they can find forever homes.
There’s plenty of free barking on site (or parking for those with human instincts) with only a small optional donation asked to be put towards the funds raised from the event.

It’s worth noting that the kennels won’t be open for visitation of the dogs available for adoption (due to the stress and anxiety this could cause) but there will be images and descriptions of all pooches in their care. The Cheshire Dogs’ Home team will be there to talk about all things doggy related, from each hound’s individual behaviour, personality, and how the rehoming process works.
