VIDEO: St Rocco’s Hospice has launched their Forget-me-not memorial garden on the lawns of Warrington Town Hall.

Mayor of Warrington Cllr Jean Flaherty was on hand to help unveil the garden which is helping raise funds for patient care at the Hospice from members of the public who have dedicated a flower to a loved one.

Sonya Currey, CEO of St. Rocco’s explained, “We are working in partnership with Warrington Council who have very kindly allowed us to make use of the flower beds in front of the town hall. We will be offering metal Forget-Me-Not flowers which will be displayed during September in the Gardens of the Town Hall.

“Following the display, St Rocco’s Hospice will take and clean the flowers and return them to you as a permanent keepsake in remembrance of your loved one.

“We hope this appeal will allow our town the opportunity to remember together and create a fitting tribute to those whom we hold close in our hearts and memories.”

St. Rocco’s is asking for a minimum donation of £20 for a Forget-Me-Not.

Last year’s flowers were blue, while this year they are pink

In return for your donation:
Your everlasting Forget-Me-Not will be placed in our ‘Sea of Forget-Me-Nots’ at Warrington Town Hall (Forget-Me-Nots are handcrafted from metal and stand 340mm tall, flowers are 75mm in diameter). Please note: They may differ slightly from those shown above as each flower is handmade.
You will receive a commemorative card bearing the name of the person to whom you are dedicating a Forget-Me-Not.
Your Forget-Me-Not will be available for collection afterwards as a lasting keepsake. More information on collection will be provided with your card.
