A 33-year-old woman was arrested for drug driving in Warrington earlier today – the 5th time she has been arrested for similar offences recently.
An officer from Warrington Police’s Roads Policing Team stopped a vehicle this morning and the 33-year-old female driver was arrested for a positive drug wipe for Class A and Class B drugs.
She has been arrested four times recently for similar offences in Cheshire and Merseyside.
The woman was arrested and taken into custody.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers performed a regular stop and search on a black Audi A3 in the Jurby Court area of Warrington at around 2.40am today (Friday 12 August).
“The driver, a 33-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. She has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.”
In other incidents, a 41-year-old female was arrested in Culcheth for harassment offences, while an 18-year-old female was arrested in Warrington Town centre this morning for assaulting an emergency worker
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old male was arrested this morning in the town centre for being drunk and disorderly while a 23-year-old male arrested in the Poplars area for domestic assault.
