One lane of M6 closed at Woolston as firefighters tackle HGV brakes fire

ONE lane of the M6 near the Woolston interchange was closed this afternoon as firefighters were called out to an incident involving the brakes of a HGV being on fire.

Shortly after 2:30 pm, one fire engine was called to the incident on the M6 north between junctions 21 to 21a

They used a hose reel to cool the area and one lane of the M6 was closed while the incident was dealt with.

The lane has since re-opened.
