A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted as she stood at a bus stop at Warrington.

Police are appealing for help in tracing the alleged offender – a man in his 20s driving a Mercedes A100 car.
The incident was at a bus stop near the Green Bridge on Winwick Road at about 10.30 am on Thursday, April 21. The girl was standing at the bus stop when she was approached by a man who spoke to her, then briefly walked away before returning to speak to her again.
He then inappropriately touched her and tried to push her towards his car before driving away.
The man is described as white, of a slim build and aged in his twenties. He was wearing work style trousers and a beige oversized T-shirt.

Detective Constable Rachel Williams, of Warrington local policing unit, said: “The girl was on her own when the man approached her. Despite making it clear she didn’t want to speak to him he continued to engage with her and touched her inappropriately, which understandably left her shaken.
“She did the right thing in reporting it to officers straight away.
“As part of the investigation, I am appealing to members of the public to come forward with information that could lead to the identity of this man.
“Perhaps you were in the area at the time or live nearby with CCTV or dashcam footage that shows a man matching this description. If this is the case I would ask you to please get in touch with us.”
