ALMOST 50 local children took part in in a spectacular karate grading event at Lymm Leisure Centre on Saturday.
The event, hosted by Lymm-based Gen’Dai Martial Arts Club proved extremely successful, with all the youngsters moving up to their next belt.
The students had worked very hard over the past few months, having attended karate lessons at the club’s Lymm and Partington venues, and also at Cherry Tree and Ravenbank primary schools.
The grading was presided over by former national champion, Sensei Dave Shipton – 5th Dan, who was assisted on the day by club members George Bainton and Dave Lomas.
