POLICE today appealed for information after a teenage boy was robbed of his bike in Warrington.
The offence took place on Tuesday, February 22 as the boy, accompanied by a friend, was walking along Hilden Road towards the town centre, pushing the bike.
They were approached by a large group of young people walking in the same direction.
One of them is believed to have been in possession of a knife, although this was not seen, and a threat was made toward the victim. The teenager surrendered his bike to the suspect and the group left, walking back up Hilden Road toward Blackbrook Avenue.
The bike is described as a black and grey Carrera Vengeance mountain bike.
The suspect is described as 6ft tall, slim but muscular, with long blond hair that was swept across his face covering one eye. His hair came down to just above his lips.
He had clear skin and blue eyes, and spoke with a Liverpool accent.
He was wearing a blue puffer jacket, North Face cargo trousers and black trainers, possibly Nike.
DC Cath Hudson said: “I would urge anyone who saw this large group in Hilden Road around this time and has dash cam footage or any information that may help to contact us.
“If you have been offered a bike for sale matching this description, I’d also ask that you contact us.”
