Police appeal for witnesses after gunpoint carjacking robbery at Grappenhall store

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a carjacking armed robbery outside a Grappenhall convenience store yesterday, Monday, evening when a car was stolen at gunpoint.

The robbery took place outside the Tesco Express convenience store on Knutsford Road.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 6pm on Monday, December 6, police were called to an armed robbery on the car park of Tesco Express on Knutsford Road.

“A man had stolen a car while believed to be in possession of a firearm.

“Enquiries are ongoing to locate the man.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the constabulary on 101, quoting incident number IML1149842, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
