Van driver arrested and taken to hospital following collision

THE driver of a van who fled the scene of a collision on Lovely Lane, Warrington, last night has been arrested and taken to hospital.

At 8.50 pm last night, November 21, police were called to reports of a collision on Lovely Lane, Warrington.

Officers attended and found that a silver Ford Transit van had collided with three parked cars (a blue Ford Fiesta, a Peugeot 2008 and a Citroen Berlingo).

The driver of the van had fled the scene.

A 32-year-old man was subsequently arrested in relation to the incident – and has since been taken to hospital.

Firefighters were also called to the scene and assessed the damaged vehicles and made them safe.
