Week-long road closure set to come into force at Lymm for water mains investigation works

A week-long road closure is set to come into force at Lymm next Monday (Nov 29) while United Utilities carry out water mains investigation works.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Whitbarrow Road from its junction with Statham Avenue to its entrance to Lymm Golf Club.

The Order will be effective from 29th November 2021 for one week, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Stockport Road, Camsley Lane, Booths Hill Road, Eagle Brow, Brookfield Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out mains investigation works.
