DETECTIVES arrested three people and seized cash and Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin, following a stop and search in the Bewsey and Whitecross area as part of County Lines organised crime in Warrington.
A 38-year-old man, Michael Shawcross, of Tennyson Street in Sefton, Liverpool, has since been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin. He was remanded in custody and appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court earlier today, Thursday 11 November.
He was remanded and his next appearance will be on 9 December at Liverpool Crown Court.
It follows after a 45-year-old man was stopped by police on Wardour Street at around 3pm on Tuesday 9 November.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and resisting arrest and has since been released under investigation.
Officers then attended an address on Cartwright Street.
Following a search of the property approximately £1,000 in cash was seized along with around £4,000 of crack cocaine and heroin.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested at the property on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and has since been released under investigation.
