Infection rates and hospital admissions down as 149 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

INFECTION rates are continuing to fall in the Warrington area with 149 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in the latest data, while hospital admissions have also fallen with no new deaths.

The 149 (119) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 34,237 (34,088).



Infection rates in Warrington have fallen again for the seventh time in eight days, to 1,168 (1,189) – 557.8 (567.8) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain above the national average of 481.5 (485.6) per 100,000, which have also fallen slightly for a second day.
The number of COVID-19 inpatients at Warrington Hospital has fallen from 42-38 while a further six patients have been discharged.
