Firefighters tackle four deliberate bin fires over three nights in Orford Park area

FIRE crews have been called out four times over the past three nights to deal with deliberate bin fires in the Orford Park area, including two targeting community play areas.

Not only does this damage community play areas but it also prevents a fire appliance from attending a potentially more serious 999 call.

Meanwhile, anyone who has witnessed any of the arson incidents is urged to contact police on 101.
One of the incidents involved a wheelie bin being set on fire in the skate park area on Orford Park, while one of the other incidents involved a bin being set on fire in the play area on nearby Hallfields Road.
