POLICE are investigating after arsonists started a fire at a band stand on Radley Common, Warrington, last night.
Firefighters from Warrington went to the scene, off Mallard Close, shortly after 7pm and tackled the blaze.
The crew were detained at the scene for around 15 minutes.
An inspection of the site suggested the fire had been started deliberately and an appeal was issued for anyone with information to call police on 101 or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tua.
