Arsonists strike in Chapelford park

POLICE are investigating after two waste bins were set alight in a Warrington park last night.

The fires were in a park off Santa Rosa Boulevard, Chapelford shortly before 9pm.



Firefighters from Penketh were called the scene and found the two bins well alight.
A water backpack was used to extinguish the fire and an investigation revealed it had been started deliberately.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting IML 1106234.
In another incident, a fire crew from Penketh was called to Liverpool Road, Sankey Bridges, where an incinerator bin was discovered on fire in the open. A hose reel jet was used to put out the flames.
