COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise with 101 new cases but hospital inpatient numbers fall

WHILE COVID-19 infection rates are continuing to rise in Warrington with 101 new cases, hospital inpatient numbers have fallen with 10 patients discharged in the past 24 hours.

The 101 (132) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 29,877 (29,776).



Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again to an average of 678 (642) – 323.8 (306.6) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 356.5 (354.2) per 100,000, which have also risen slightly again.
Hospital inpatient numbers have reduced to 26, with ten patients discharged in the past 24 hours.
