UPDATED: A pit bike was seized by police in Warrington as part of Operation Scrambler thanks to the support of highly trained motorcycle officers.

Warrington East local beat team hosted the Operation Scrambler officers across, Birchwood, Culcheth, Croft, Glazebury and Rixton and Woolston.

Their target was to stop any illegal off-road scrambler bikes and e-scooters that were riding anti-socially, by gathering details and taking positive action when dealing with them.
The “Pit bike” was seized from a youth who was riding it illegally on public land with a pillion and only one helmet between them!
The highly trained motorcycle Officers supported by Risley LPU patrolled all locations where illegal riding has been reported.
The illegal pit bike was seized for destruction in Glazebrook having travelling over from neighbouring Caddishead.
There were also many opportunities to engage and educate local youths who didn’t realise the Police were cool enough for off roaders.
