COVID 19 robbed Grappenhall of the chance of climbing up the RSK Cheshire County League first division table.
Their visit to bottom club Davenham was cancelled because of an outbreak of Covid among the home club’s players.
The 2nd XI game between the two clubs was also called off because of the outbreak. Both games will be arranged for later in the season but for the time being Grappers have been denied a crack at a club which has yet to win a game this summer.
Grappenhall 3rd lost at home to Alderley Edge after being bowled out for 96.

Opener Ben Clissold hit 36 and Stanley Pennington 26 not out, but no other batsman reached double figures.
Alderley Edge were made to fight for runs too with Fameesh Azeez taking 3-24 but reached their target with four wickets to spare.
A blistering 152 from Warrington skipper Jonathan Fletcher enabled his side to reach a commanding total of 234-5 at Sale. It was his fifth century for the club.
There were also useful knocks from Tom Higham, 28 and Jake Liddle, 25.
Sale were not intimidated by the target and at 80-2 were going well. But rain shortened the game and at the close they were 121-4. James Rudd took 3-19.
By contrast, Warrington 2nd were rolled over for 53 entertaining Sale 2nd who had batted first and hit 203-4. Shoaib Chattha took 4-45.
Mark Lawton’s 22 was Warrington’s top score.
In the UKFast Cheshire League, Lymm Oughtrington Park won by 21 runs hosting Langley at Oughtrington Lane.
Batting first, Lymm totalled 158-6, Jake Hughes hitting 49 not out and Mathew Carr 38.
Langley were all out for 137 with Andy Hossack taking 4-32 and skipper Travis Scholes 3-28.
Glazebury were unlucky when rain intervened to shorten their game at Trafford Metrovics.
They batted first and hit a challenging 164-8, Jack Warhurst top scoring with 72 and skipper Sam Stanier 44.
Overs were lost to the weather and as a result, Metrovics were set a revised target of 115 in 22 overs – a total they achieved for the loss of four wickets in 16.3 overs.
Stephen Brunt top scored with 26 as Glazebury 2nd were bowled out for 98 by Oxton at Hurst Lane. The visitors had earlier hit 165-7, David Costello taking 3-48.
