VANDALS are being blamed for a fire on open land at Bewsey, Warrington, last night.
The blaze was on land off Troutbeck Avenue and a fire engine from Penketh went to the scene to discover that a quantity of pallets and rubbish had been set alight.
The fire was well alight and the crew used water to extinguish the flames.
It is believed the fire had been started deliberately. Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 961439.
Last night Green Watch attended a deliberate fire, these avoidable fires take up a large amount of our time, potentially when we should be helping someone whose life may be in danger elsewhere. It is important to report irresponsible behaviour to help protect your community. pic.twitter.com/hJjTfc61KT
