VANDALS are believed to have started a fire on open land off Blackbrook Avenue, Padgate, Warrington last night.
A fire engine from Warrington went to the scene shortly after 8.30pm and found a quantity of rubbish had been set alight.
The crew used water to extinguish the blaze and were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
A spokesperson said: “The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with any information about the fire should call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 95830.”
