Women’s cricket league announce plans for coming season

CHESHIRE Women’s Cricket League has announced proposals for the forthcoming season – subject to any Covid-19 restrictions.
Matches will start on April 25, assuming the pandemic allows.
The first division – which played only a truncated league programme last summer – will revert to the format originally intended for 2020.
This means that Appleton will play in the first division. But the club will not field a 2nd XI.
The only other club in the Warrington area – Lymm Oughtrington Park – will play in division four.
It is expected that divisions 1-4 will use the regulations that existed when these competitions last operated in 2019, although the League reserves the right to make changes should the Covid-19 situation make this necessary.
