PLANS have been submitted for an electric car charging point at a 16th-century cottage at Lymm.
The proposal involves Rivington Cottage, in Higher Lane – the oldest parts of which date from the 16th century.
But the cottage has been extended several times over the years and the charging point is planned to go on a wall added in the 1970s.
Borough council planners have been told the charging point will be scarcely visible from the road and will not alter the character of the building.
