Former Lymm High School pupil publishes book of poems

A FORMER Lymm High School pupil has published a book of more than 100 poems narrating tales of mental health .
Alex Thomas is now working as a fitness coach in New Zealand after coaching at 12 different gyms around the world.
It took him six years to write the poems which are based on his own experiences as he travelled around. The book is entitled “When Times Seem Dark” and is available from Amazon either as a paperback or as an ebook.
Alex  played rugby while in Lymm and was a swimmer at regional level prior to that. After leaving Lymm he worked in the South of England for three years
In late 2019 he moved over to New Zealand where, in his own words, he was homeless for a while before working his way back up to his present position.
He said: “I have lived on couches, in my car, in a shed. Through it all, I kept on writing different poems on mental health, inspired by the thoughts floating around in my head.”
