Five teenagers arrested after armed police incident at Woolston

FIVE teenagers have been arrested after an armed police incident at Woolston last night involving a lorry driver being threatened by a gang of young men.

The incident took place at around 7pm on Sunday 31 January, when police were called to reports that 44-year-old lorry driver had been threatened by a gang of five men, who were possibly armed with a knife on Kingsland Grange, Warrington.
Local officers, supported by armed officers and the police helicopter, attended the scene and five teenage boys were arrested in the area.
The teenagers, two aged 18 and three age 17, have been arrested on suspicion of affray. Two of the boys, age 17 and 18, have also been arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place.
They are all being held in police custody being questioned by officers.
