YOUTHS have been reported causing damage and distress in flooded areas of Bewsey by Warrington Police who are appealing for help to identify them.

Police Officers have been assisting partner agencies and the local community with the ongoing effects of the flooding for the past few days, with the floods having a devastating effect on many people’s homes and lives.
During this time, police have been aware of a group of youths causing further damage and distress to local residents in the Bewsey area, specifically around Folly Lane, Troutbeck Avenue and Haryngton Avenue.
A police spokesperson said: “This is not acceptable behaviour and officers need your help to identify the youths involved. If you are aware of any incident or know any information that may assist us please contact 101.”
Meanwhile one resident reported that “two lads in balaclavas” had been seen checking the doors of evacuated properties in the area.
