WITH more snow falling in Warrington this morning the Met Office has issued a new Yellow weather warning for more snow and ice for the rest of the week, heading into the new year.
While many have been enjoying the festive scenes, the weather is making driving continues on country lanes treacherous.
Today’s wintry showers will clear through the morning and be followed by some sunny spells towards the afternoon. Generally, light winds throughout, though feeling rather cold. Maximum temperature of 5 °C.
This evening will remain dry and clear, however wintry showers arrive from the west in the early hours, though these are largely confined to southern parts before morning. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
On Wednesday there will be a frosty start for many, with potential for icy surfaces and freezing fog. Wintry showers predominantly confined to southern parts through the day. Dry for most with some sunny spells. Maximum temperature of 4 °C.
The outlook for Thursday to Saturday is more wintry showers on Thursday and New Years’ Day. Notably colder overnight into Thursday. Overnight frosts and icy conditions throughout this period. Showers for some with patchy cloud on Saturday.
