POLICE are investigating a hoax bomb threat which resulted in Culcheth High School being evacuated earlier today, Tuesday.

It came just 24 hours after a similar hoax call to Golborone High School.
Pupils and staff were evacuated from Culcheth High School at around 11.30am today after the caller gave a precise length of time before the bomb attack would take place.
Police attended at the school, carrying out a thorough search of the building before the all-clear was given and pupils and staff were allowed to return.
Following the incident headteacher Chris Hunt, wrote to parents praising pupils’ “good behaviour” throughout the whole evacuation process.
He wrote: “I’d like to thank all the staff for their tremendous support and calm manner in which they evacuated the building and supported our students.
“During the current challenging circumstances, it frustrates and worries me that sadly, there are individuals who engage in such selfish and dangerous behaviours that are targeted towards schools.”
Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
