Four more deaths and 138 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

FOUR more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 while a further 138 new cases have been confirmed in the latest daily update from Public Health England.

The 138 (103) new COVID-19 positive cases reported in the latest daily update from Public Health England (Nov 7), means the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 6,846 (6,708).
The latest figures come after government scientists said the UK’s reproduction number remained unchanged at a maximum of 1.3.
The R number is a key indicator used to determine how quickly COVID-19 is spreading, representing the average number of people each person with the virus goes on to infect.
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 940 – 447.6 per 100,000 population.
