Warrington Male Voice Choir pays virtual tribute to the fallen

FINAL arrangements are coming together which will see Warrington Male Voice Choir paying a virtual, vocal tribute to honour the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, veterans and their families.

Over the years the choir has played its part in the Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph at Bridgefoot, Warrington and, in recent years, has staged a Festival of Remembrance at the Parr Hall. Although these type and scale of events are not taking place this year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the choir was determined to pay its respects to the fallen.
A specially produced video will be shown on YouTube from Saturday 7 November, starting at 11am, ahead of Remembrance Sunday (8 November) and Remembrance Day on Wednesday 11 November.
While paying a fitting tribute to the fallen, the video will also aim to encourage people to support the North West Poppy Appeal and the work done by the Royal British Legion, providing support and welfare to the serving and ex-Service community and their families throughout the year, across the North West,

Picture shows the 2018 Festival of Remembrance – ‘Poppies fall and a near full house pauses to remember the fallen’.
