LYMM school-leaver Edward Breen has been appointed as an Apprentice at Altrincham’s Consensus Workspace to support the business as it expands throughout the UK.

Edward, aged 16 from Lymm, has just finished his GCSEs at Lymm High School and is studying Property Management at The Apprentice Academy in central Manchester.
He has joined the commercial interiors specialist and its sister company Consensus Property to learn all about the business, supporting both the on-site and in-office teams to gain a full understanding of how property investment and interior design works.
“We’re delighted to welcome Edward to the team,” says Ollie Plastow, Project Director at Consensus Workspace. “Having entered the industry to ‘learn on the job’ myself, I know it is a great way to develop skills quickly. We are incredibly busy at the moment with contracts all over the UK, so he is joining at a great time.”
“I’m really looking forward to learning as much as I can from the Consensus Team,” adds Edward. “Their clients are really impressive and the work they do is varied so it’s really interesting. The Apprenticeship itself will last two years but I hope to stay here for the long-term.”
Consensus Workspace is an experienced family run interior fit out company with over 25 years’ of expertise, offering dedicated and expertly crafted solutions for a wide range of office types and industries, with clients including The Peel Group, commercial real estate services company CBRE, office provider Orega and Deloitte.
“Edward is our first ever Apprentice but we are huge fans of the Apprenticeship programme and welcome the idea of hiring more school-leavers in the future.” concludes Ollie.
