Firefighters tackle car fire on M56

TWO fire crews were called out to tackle a car fire on the M56 near the Lymm Poplar Services earlier today, Monday.

One crew from Lymm and one from Greater Manchester were called out at 10:36 on the M56 Westbound between junction 8 and 9.
The car was on the hard shoulder but had leaked fuel into lane one.
Crews extinguished the fire and Highways England will be clearing up the fuel.
