ANOTHER two cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Warrington in the last 24 hours, according to Public Health England figures.
A total of 1,342 people have now tested positive in the Warrington area which equates to 640.4 per 100,000 population – an increase of two on yesterday’s figures.
There have now been two new cases confirmed for three cosecutive days.
While there have been no COVID-19 related deaths at the hospital for more than two weeks, the hospital is now currently caring for just one COVID-19 patient.
Meanwhile a total of 136 patients who tested posotive for COVID-19 have sadly died at Warrington Hospital, along with 231 people in local care homes, two patients at a hospice and three people at home, taking the town’s death toll to at least 370.

To date the hospital has tested 12,165 (11,050) inpatients/community of which 1,192 (1,190) have tested positive.
As of noon Thursday, the hospital was caring for 1 (4) in-patient who has tested positive for Covid-19, there are NO Covid-19 positive patient in ICU (1)
They have discharged 382 (376) patients and sadly 136 have died.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 119, taking the total number of deaths to 45,878.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 119 taking the total number to 300,692.
