Armed police incident at Lymm

ARMED police supported by an overhead helicopter were involved in a stop and search incident near Lymm Truck Stop earlier today.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 1.15pm on 3 July police stopped a vehicle on the slip road of the M6 in Lymm.
Three men were searched and no offences were apparent.”
Eye witnesses reported seeing six or seven police vehicles and armed officers stopping a car on the slip road and a helicopter circling over head bringing traffic to a standstill.
