One more death and four new Covid-19 cases confirmed at Warrington Hospital

ONE more patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 and four new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

A total of 127 patients have now sadly died at the hospital along with at least 96 people in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 223.
The latest death was reported on a patient who sadly passed away on Saturday (June 13).
Four patients have sadly died in June, this compares to 34 in May, 92 in April and 7 in March.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital is now 799 – an increase of four from yesterday – a rate of 381.3 per 100,000 population.

Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 38 taking the total number of deaths to 41,736.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 1,056 taking the total number to 296,857.
However the government figures do not include all deaths involving COVID-19 across the UK, which is thought to have passed 52,000.
Monday’s figures are also often lower than other weekdays due to delays in recording deaths over the weekend.
