No new Covid-19 related deaths in Warrington and just one new case confirmed

THERE have been no new Covid-19 related deaths at Warrington Hospital, with just one new case confirmed in the last 24 hours, as the UK recorded its lowest coronavirus death toll since the start of lockdown.

However the low figure should be taken with some caution as many weekend deaths are not counted until Tuesday due to a reporting lag at weekends.
A total of 126 patients have now sadly died at the hospital along with at least 96 people in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 222.
Three patients have sadly died in June, this compares to 34 in May, 92 in April and 7 in March.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases of Warrington residents reported at the hospital is now 795 – an increase of one from yesterday – a rate of 379.4 per 100,000 population.

Across the UK the Daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 36 taking the total number of deaths to 41,698.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 1,514 taking the total number to 295,889.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suggeted there will be no reduction in the two metre social distancing rule of two metre until next month on July 4, the next planned phase of reopening of the economy.
Non-essential shops are being alowed to open in England from Monday but pubs, clubs, restaurants. hairdressers and beauty salons are being told to stay closed.
