A online bingo game which “started out as a bit of fun” has gone global heping raising over £6,000 for St Rocco’s Hospice in Warrington, with more to come!

The charity fundraiser is being run by Chris Forster from Woolston, the son of former Warrington Wolves’ legend Mark, who says he started it as “a bit of fun” to help out the charity which is close to his family’s heart.
Chris said: “I have been running a game of bingo on Facebook live with all proceeds going to St Rocco’s. The charity is close to me and my family as they cared for my Aunty and Grandad. With St Rocco’s set to lose so much money due to the coronavirus pandemic I thought I would try and help out.
“Our first game raised 3k and then with our second game we doubled it and hit £6k.”
The next game takes place this Saturday but tickets have to be purhchased BEFORE 8pm tonight (Thursday.)
Chris added: “We also have a free raffle with some great prizes that have been donated and a cash prize also.
“People have been dressing up at home and in general all coming together as a community. We have also had players playing in Abu Dhabi,Cyprus and Gambia so it has gone worldwide!”
